# Frameverb Current direction, 20 October 2026: an open workspace for text, image, video and audio creation/editing on users' own provider accounts and compute. The hosted interface remains a video drafting preview. The shared capability catalog at /api/capabilities describes task contracts, surfaces and execution modes; a catalog entry or successful offline validation is not generation availability, credential readiness, approval or evidence of a working provider route. > Frameverb (https://frameverb.com/) is an AI creative workspace for text, image, video and audio: editable workflows, a director, references, editing tools and named camera and effect recipes. Creators choose their provider accounts and compute. There is no Frameverb subscription or added generation markup in the product direction. ## Product concept - Frameverb gives a creator a shot workflow across provider APIs, free quota routes, their own GPU, and rented GPUs. Route and model availability depend on the selected workflow; there is no default model. - The creative layer includes named camera moves, visual effects and style presets, an editable director/storyboard flow, camera direction, character references, takes, and per-shot production records. - The studio and MCP share a metadata-only recovery ledger. Hosted MCP can prepare a shot, reserve an owned job fingerprint and return a private draft_backup for the client to save locally/import in the browser. Its recovery link restores metadata/status, not prompts or images. Local stdio has its own files and sessions; it does not synchronize hosted projects. No public remote endpoint is advertised. - The preset catalog contains 52 entries: 28 camera, 16 effect, and 8 style presets. A preset is a creative recipe, not a guaranteed result or a trained model. ## What is available today - The hosted studio at /studio/ supports browser-local productions, an editable three-shot planner, reference reuse, independent takes, take comparison, timeline playback, private backups, and browser sequence export with optional music/voiceover. Planning is a local template; reference reuse does not enforce character identity in the model. Projects do not sync to an account or team. - The hosted studio is currently a drafting preview. Hosted provider submission is disabled. No provider route has a live-verified output and final bill. Cost, quality, speed, and teardown claims have no live evidence. - The local browser studio and local stdio MCP are available from a project checkout. The local tool has several wired provider routes; providers, model workflows, free quotas, rental billing, and teardown have not all been live-verified. - The free Hugging Face ZeroGPU, Kaggle, and Colab/ComfyUI paths are implemented in source but not live-verified. Your own ComfyUI and a rented Vast GPU are local routes; any rental can incur provider charges. - Some routes are paid. Providers charge creators directly. Review and approve paid actions. Free quota services have their own limits and terms and may receive authorized source images. ## Studio and agent paths - [Open the studio](/studio/) - [Explore the product-reveal starter project](/studio/?starter=product-reveal) - [Privacy and data handling](/privacy/) - [Local setup instructions](#local-commands) ## Local commands From a project checkout: - `uv run preset-video` launches the local browser interface. - `uv run --directory "$PWD" preset-video mcp` launches private stdio MCP. These are developer commands, not a verified public `uvx` package installation. Local MCP uses that host's configured providers, files, and runs. Use your MCP client's secret handling for provider keys. Paid fal/Vast actions require the corresponding creator approval in the local workflow. ## Safety, billing, and privacy boundaries - No Frameverb subscription or render-credit wallet is part of the product direction. Provider billing still applies, and no fixed saving is promised. - Local provider keys are held by the local process, not written to project files or browser storage. Hosted generation is disabled; hosted key handling and infrastructure are not a live generation service. - Hosted projects remain in the current browser. Backups contain private draft content and recovery capabilities; links contain capabilities only. The ledger stores IDs, state, expiry and hashes, never provider tokens, prompts, images or media URLs. Inputs pass through memory to the provider only on an approved submission (or transient MCP draft preparation). Keep private backups and recovery links private. - Deleting or expiring a Frameverb job record does not cancel provider work or delete provider-side media. - Experimental browser WebMCP on the marketing page exposes public page information only. It cannot submit jobs, access credentials, or manage provider sessions. It is separate from local stdio MCP and the limited hosted HTTP MCP source. ## Release status - Package and command remain `preset-video`; Frameverb is the website brand. The public hostname is frameverb.com. - The source repository is private. Package registry publication, hosted generation infrastructure, Access policy, monitoring, support contact, and live provider proof have not been verified as released. ## References - [Privacy and data handling](/privacy/) - [Cloudflare Access documentation](https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-one/access-controls/applications/http-apps/authorization-cookie/application-token/)
